Congratulations

WHO WON THE BOOK?

Hello everybody, I already know who won the book but before I tell you I am going to do a little suspense, ok? Let me show you how I got to the lucky number: First I wrote all the number in a piece of paper Then I cut them all and put them in a box I recorded the moment I picked the paper- following Isaac's suggestion. YEAH! You'll have to watch to find out who won. I couldn't believe my eyes when I found out who the winner was since I had just talked about her.

Congratulations!!!

Let me know if you prefer the Portuguese or English version.

XOXO

T6 Homework Expressing Obligations

Meredith wants to be a doctor.
What do you think she has to do to achieve her goal?

She has to study hard.
She has to learn how to operate.
She must work hard and spend long hours in the hospital.

Have to / don't have to
Sometimes in life there are obligations or rules. There are things which you do not have a choice in, like wearing a uniform at school, for example. One structure we use to talk about these rules is have to. This programme is all about have to and its negative form, don't have to. Don't have to is used when there is no obligation to do something

So, formulate more sentences saying what she has to do and what she doesn't have to do to become a doctor.
Eg: She has to wear white.
She

Teenage problems

Hi T6,

After we talked about teenage problems including pregnacy and watching the movie Juno, answer a few question:

What’s the difference between an open and a closed adoption contract? Which one do you think is best?

Do you think Juno made the right decision?

Part B In the film, Juno writes Vanessa a note:

Imagine that, instead of a note, she decided to write her an email, explaining her decision. Write about 100 words.

That's it!

Making life sweeter for Valentine's day

In The USA and all over the world people usually celebrate Valentine's day on Feb 14.
That is why I have decided to publish a very romantic post, with a very romantic and sweet movie.

Now for the fun part: tell me the most romantic movie you have ever seen. Which part of the movie did you like the most? Do you remember any of the lines? Why did you like it?

harry: I love you.
sally:How do you expect me to respond to this?
harry: How about you love me, too?
sally: How about, I'm leaving.
harry: Doesn't what I said mean anything to you?
sally: I'm sorry, harry. I know it's new year's eve. I know you're feeling lonely, but you just can't show up here, tell me you love me, and expect that to make everything all right. it doesn't work this way.
harry: Well, how does it work?
sally: I don't know, but not this way.
harry: How about this way? I love that you get cold when it's seventy-one degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you're lookin' at me like I'm nuts. I love that after I spend the day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. and I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night, and it's not because I'm lonely. and it's not because it's new year's eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.
sally: (feeling manipulated but also melting) you see. that is just like you, harry. you say things like that, and you make it impossible for me to hate you, and I hate you, harry. I really hate you. I hate you.

Feel free to include pictures and I will publish here on the blog.

Let's dare!

Hello you,

Is there anybody out there?

Time to remove the dust out of this space and try to keep it as updated as possible. This blog was on vacation and so was I. Isn't that fabulous?

Besides, what's the point on blogging just for me while this space was created for you- dear student.

As the year has already started and I am just about to meet you I thought I might let you know a few things about me.

I will let you in my New Year's Resolutions, okay?

-I want to keep my stress level down and my efficiency up

-I want to love more and judge less

-I want to stop being so damm lazy and exercise

-I want and I will allow good things to come my way and to the people I care

-I will make new friends and keep my door open to them

-I will try to live in peace with people I don't understand and therefore don't like- they remind me that I am still attached to simple thinking. (BTW- that was ambitious)

Now, that's it with the resolutions. I have already broken a bunch of them but ...well....nobody is perfect.

You see, dear.....I am hoping these insightfull goals of improvement will not only allow me to be a better teacher, but also a better person.

I hope I can. Will you let me know?

To a crazy, lots of fun, , charming, new semester full of good surprises and joy

PS_I will probably adore you, as long as you are nice to me and SPEAK ENGLISH.heheheh
Just kidding! ( Not quite)
